“Space is big.” says the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. “You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist’s, but that’s just peanuts to space.”
As long as I can remember, and likely driven by ny Step-Dad’s own interests, I’ve been obsessed with space. This vast expanse of ‘nothing’ surrounds our planet in all directions. The scale of space is almost unfathomable to the human brain. And therein, for me, lies the beauty.
Whilst others look for wonder within their lives, I’ve long looked to Space to understand the wonder that is our lives. We are all stardust manifest. Captured in this animate lifeform for just a moment of the universe’s existance. The likelyhood of us ever existing is so small, but the universe so large as to make it almost inevitable. This is the incredibly scale and wonder of space.
